For Supervisors

Please read this section and this section as well if you are unsure of what is an appropriate CAS activity.

Responsibilities of a CAS Activity Supervisor:

  • To support the student in trying to fulfill the assessment criteria. If you feel that the activity does not meet the CAS requirements, or that the student is unsuitable for your activity, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can find an alternative.

  • To monitor student's attendance by signing off on the student's Activity Log on a regular (weekly) basis.

  • To read and comment on the student's Reflection Essay and blog/journal posts (whenever appropriate). Please follow up on the final essay if you do not see it a week after the completion of the activity.

  • To evaluate the student's performance and add a pertinent comment onto the Activity Evaluation Form. Alternatively, the supervisor may include his/her evaluation of the student's performance in comment directly on the student's blog.

  • To communicate to the CAS coordinator any problems that may arise with the student's involvement in/commitment to the CAS activity.

If you have any questions or concerns about the program, please let me know.

Thank you for your support and involvement.
